Volunteer Opportunities:
We’re on the Hunt for Volunteers
The HOPE Befriending Project is an initiative based in the CLASP Resource Centre, 10 Alexander Avenue, Stevenston (opposite the GP surgery). Are you out of work and looking for something to do or add to your CV, retired, new to the area and want to get to know people? Whoever you are - if you have some spare time, even a few hours a month - the HOPE Befriending Project are looking for Volunteers for 1 to 1 befriending, to help with delivering activities to older people, assisting with lunch clubs, providing welfare rights advice and information (no experience required – full training provided free of charge) and more.
CLASP are also looking for volunteers to join CLASP as Committee Members -by attending monthly progress meetings – you’ll be able to find out more about what we do, how you can help and what is happening in your local community.
There are no special qualifications required for any of our volunteer roles – young or old alike - all we ask is you have a willingness and commitment to provide some support and help in your local community.
If you are interested please contact Rosemary McCurdy on 01294 602711 for more information or a chat about joining CLASP as a Committee Member.
OR call Cathy McGregor on 01294 463444 if you are interested in becoming a volunteer for the HOPE Befriending Project.
