The volunteer admin/receptionist is a key person in allowing the organisation to run smoothly and efficiently.
Tasks
The volunteer admin/receptionist is a key person in allowing the organisation to run smoothly and efficiently.
Tasks
- Answering the telephone, taking messages, transferring calls.
- Opening and recording mail and passing on to appropriate staff.
- Stamping and recording outgoing mail.
- Making appointments for surgeries.
- Dealing with general phone, office and email enquiries.
- Replenishing general leaflets.
- Help with clerical tasks, dealing with simple enquiries and referring onto appropriate workers where necessary.
Skills
- Good telephone manner.
- Good listening and recording skills.
- Clear speaking voice.
- An ability to remain calm under pressure.
- An understanding of confidentiality.
- Basic office skills.
Responsible To
Office Manager.
Time Commitment
Flexible, but will need to negotiate.
Training
In-house training will be given. Opportunities for further training will be available.
